Sally was born and raised in Iowa. She received a BFA degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

She resided in Greece for sixteen years before moving to Florida. She has taught art in Kissimmee and ESOL in Greece. Travel has been an influential part in her experience, especially India, Pakistan, Greece, Mexico, Panama, and Peru.

Both her husband,Stefan and daughter Avye are artists as well.

She  has worked in a variety of media and shows her work in Florida as well as other states.
